Problems Encountered: The battery wasn’t the issue in the opening of the dome. It is a wooden piece near the opening box that seems to be blocking. I am in contact with Peter to solve it.

Purpose of EVA:

Exploration of the Kissing Camel zone. We will start with Robert’s Rock Garden and the West side of the feature. If we still have the time, we will survey the East side but staying in sight of Cow Dung Road.

Narrative: We went to Robert’s Rock Garden with the rovers and we started exploring Kissing Camel Ridge W. We walked a lot in the canyon, and took a lot of pictures. We used the drone to take panoramic pictures of the zone. The area was really breathtaking. We also took panoramic view of the station with the drone.

Summary Title: A productive day

Mission Status: Going great

Sol Activity Summary:
This morning we woke up with a dance session prepared by Adèle and Lou. We all had a good night of sleep and feel quite rested. At breakfast, we tasted some chocolate paste cooked by Lou from the cooking ingredients we have left in the station. She asked our onboard AI (AMAIA) for the recipe, and it turned quite well.
The planning of the day was again lighter than our first week, with a load that we can sustain for the rest of the mission, while our experiments are set up and running without too much work. In the morning we conducted another exploration EVA, dedicated to taking lots of pictures and videos, with the help of our drone.
This afternoon we kept on working on our experiments, and got the time to troubleshoot some of the station’s issues, with some success.
We got a crucial little resupply from mission support which should suffice until our full resupply at the end of the week, thank you !

Look Ahead Plan:
We will keep on gathering scientific data from our experiment, and fixing some of the issues we encountered in the station during the last few days. The next EVAs will be dedicated to the Photogrammetry experiment and keeping on maintaining our atmospheric experiments outside on the field.
Two more sols until the second rest day and the half of the mission !

– Issues with EVA radios headsets (not yet troubleshot, but healthy radios sets have been identified)
– Issue with the Musk Observatory Dome: solving in progress with Peter
– Battery of backpack #4 replaced.

Summary Title: Creating memories

Mission Status: Going great, rest day tomorrow

Sol Activity Summary:
Concluding a successful week, today went great and we conducted all our experiments without any issue. As mentioned in the previous report, we will publish a video during our mission, to showcase everything we have been doing in the first half of the mission. Today we filmed a lot of scenes to illustrate our mission as best as possible, and we should have enough material to keep assembling the video. Tonight everyone feels relaxed, as we are planning an evening of fun activities before our second rest day.
Some of the crew is also working hard on writing abstracts and articles for upcoming scientific congresses, namely SSEA and IAC, as the submission deadlines are tomorrow.

Look Ahead Plan:
Rest day tomorrow, and then the start of the second half of our mission ! We will publish our mid-mission scientific summary on Sol 13.
