Changes to crops:
-Today I spread the rest of the radish seeds (Radish French Breakfast) in the blue bin with the beans where they previously were. There are a few survivors of my harvest.
-I also spread some dill seeds in the big blue bin in the portion that I harvested from.
-Two of the beans in the single pots I planted have started to germinate and I can see them pushing out of the soil.
-One of the peas I planted in the single pots on the shelf has started to sprout.
-Today I fertilized all the plants following the instructions from Shannon.
Narrative:
-Today was my last day taking care of the greenhouse. I have greatly enjoyed watching the plants grow over the last two weeks and I hope the next crew enjoys the microgreens!

Water in Blue Tank ~238 gallons
Time(s) of watering for crops: twice, morning and night, 9am-6pm
Changes to crops:
-The snow peas are starting to show signs of water stress. The bottom leaves are turning yellow. I have not been excessively watering them but have been watering them twice a day. Today I decided to skip watering as their soil was still wet from last night.
-The beans in the blue planter and the 2 single pots on the shelf are doing very well. One of the beans in the single pots I planted has started to germinate and I can see it about to push out of the soil.
Narrative:
-The planter by the water tank is growing very well. I have not harvested from this planter and they are going to be very lush when the other crew gets here. They will likely need to be harvested within the first few days of their mission.
-The planter to the right of the shelves has some parts that survived the harvest and the seeds I spread around have begun to germinate. Would you like me to try and remove the stems left over from harvest or let the new seeds just grow around them?
-On the wooden pallet, the single planter of dill is growing very well. Like above, it will be ready for the next crew for the beginning of their mission.

Changes to crops:
-The tomatoes in single planters on both wood pallets are doing very well. The ones in front of the big blue bin are starting to grow faster and produce true leaves. The tomatoes in the big blue bin are growing, but still nowhere near as fast as the others.
Narrative:
-Tomorrow I plan to reassess the planters in the greenhouse and see if anything needs to be replanted again. Are there any crops you would like me to prepare for the next crew?

Changes to crops:
-I replanted the assorted microgreens in the gray bin to the right of the shelves. I took the already open seed packet named “microgreens flavorful mix” and sprinkled the remaining seeds all over the planter.
Narrative:
-I noticed today that the gray bin to the right of the shelves was staying super wet and wasn’t draining properly after watering. After inspecting further, I realized the drainage hole was still screwed shut. I put one of the white hanging bins underneath it and opened the drainage hole. It is now draining properly and this should help prevent root rot in future plants.

Water in Blue Tank ~258.34 gallons
Time(s) of watering for crops: twice, morning and night, 9am-5pm
Changes to crops:
-I harvested the assorted kale microgreens from the orange planter on the shelves, 75% of the dill growing in the big blue bin, and the remainder of the radish in the blue bin with beans.
-The tomatoes on the wood pallet are starting to produce true leaves and are looking very healthy. The tomatoes in the big blue planter and the single pots in front of it are growing a lot slower.
-The snow peas on the wood pallet are looking very happy and using the wood stakes to grow taller. I think they will need to use the wood stakes for more time before they are tall enough to switch to the metal cages.
Narrative:
-Today I harvested radish, kale, and dill microgreens to make a salad for my crew. We used the dill to infuse olive oil as a dressing and saved a little bit to top it. It was delicious!
-Tomorrow I plan to replant more radish in the blue bin to replace the radish I have harvested. I have decided to replant more after doing research, the plant does not contain enough energy to regrow itself after harvest.
Harvest: (include which crop and mass in grams)
-Radish microgreens: 85g
-Assorted kale microgreens: 45g
-Dill microgreens: 10g

Changes to crops:
-Today I replanted multiple crops that haven’t grown since I started watering the greenhouse. I replanted the mint in the single planter on the wood pallet, I replanted 5 beans (bean bush contender) in the single pots on the shelves (middle row), I planted spinach by the spinach sign in the blue bin, I replanted some radish in the spots that I harvested the other day, and I planted 2 peas (super snappy peas) in the single pots on the top layer of the shelves. I only planted things that weren’t growing and followed the label they already had, I didn’t bring in any new plants.
-The beans currently growing look very happy as do the sugar snap peas.
Narrative:
-I hope that the plants I replanted will grow successfully so the future crews can enjoy a variety of fresh plants.

Changes to crops:
-The sugar snap peas look very good and the wood stakes are working for support. I plan to let them grow a little taller with the wood stakes before changing their support to the wire cages so they can get taller.
Narrative:
-Is the dill in the big blue bin intended to be harvested as a microgreen or grown to maturity?
-The plants in the greenhouse are doing very well! There is a single planter on the wood pallet that is labeled mint that has nothing growing. I have watered it the last few days and there are still no signs of growth. I plan to replant tomorrow using the seeds that were provided to me.

-The dill in the blue bin is starting to look very full and is growing well.
Narrative:
-Might be able to harvest the dill and the other assorted kale within the next week.
-My decomposition research is thriving! I already have mycelium on the top surface of my substrate. I am waiting for a stronger presence before I encourage fruiting.

Changes to crops:
-Added wooden sticks with sugar snap peas for support earlier today. When I checked tonight, a few of the plants had already begun to wrap around them.
Narrative:
-I tasted and used a plant identification app and confirmed that the unlabeled bin of microgreens was assorted kale.
-I harvested only half of the radish microgreens so we can consume more in a few days. The assorted kale I harvested came from the gray unlabeled bin located to the right of the metal shelving containing 3 rows of pots.
-Please see photos below of the harvest.
Harvest: (include which crop and mass in grams)
-Radish microgreens – 70.87 g
-Assorted kale – 48.19 g
